- B-flute
- A medium-thick corrugated board (3mm) used for shipping boxes and protective packaging.
- CCNB
- Clay coated news back — a cost-effective paperboard for folding cartons.
- DDP
- Delivered duty paid — a shipping term meaning the seller takes responsibility for duties and taxes.
- Debossing
- A recessed effect pressed into the paper from above.
- Dieline
- A 2D template that defines where the paper will be cut, folded and glued.
- E-flute
- A thin corrugated board (1.5mm) used for retail packaging and small mailers.
- Embossing
- A raised relief effect pressed into the paper from underneath.
- Foil stamping
- A printing technique that applies metallic or pigmented foil to paper using heat and pressure.
- FSC
- Forest Stewardship Council — a global standard for responsible forest management.
- Greyboard
- A thick, stiff board made from recycled paper, used as the core of rigid boxes.
- GSM
- Grams per square meter — the standard measurement of paper weight.
- MOQ
- Minimum order quantity — the smallest production run a factory will accept for a custom job.
- SBS
- Solid bleached sulfate — a bright white paperboard used for folding cartons and premium packaging.
- Soft-touch lamination
- A matte film with a velvet feel applied to the surface of a printed piece.
- Spot UV
- A glossy UV coating applied to specific areas of a printed piece for contrast.
